GUS THOMAS

    Technology has been very important to my life. It has done a lot to influence who I am not only by keeping me close to my friends and loved ones, but by helping me become connected to them in the first place. All of my hobbies stem from technology, and it is how I am close with all of my friends.

    I’ve always been into gaming, and that helped shape my personality growing up. I would hang out with people who liked gaming, and that’s what we spent a lot of time doing together. I’ve also grown up listening to music. New developments in how consumers listen to music like Spotify have been revolutionary for my family and I.

    As for my skills, I’ve taken classes on Photoshop and animation. I have basic skills in Flash, Photoshop, After Effects, Maya, and Mudbox. However, with some of these program I’ve only really scratched the surface. I would like to improve my After Effects editing skills.

    Most of my animation inspirations come from key framing animations. I love cartoons, some anime, and 2D movies, but most of my animation comes from short animations on youtube. When people have full creative ability to make a short project you can see so many different wonderful styles, and it’s always fun to see.

    This year I am planning on working on many different live actions skits. I want to implement many different visual effects and editing tricks to create a general feeling of old cheesy VHS videos. I have tons of plans for this and I am super excited to work on it.
